Saracen olive trees and rural landscapes outline the landscape of the Valley of the Temples. Here in what was the ancient Akragas / Agrigentum, olive oil has always been important so much so that it was the basis of flourishing trade with Carthage. Even today we continue to produce an excellent product which is the result of the presence of ancient varieties of existing olive trees, to which over the years equally valuable varieties such as the “Biancolilla” and “Cerasuola” have been added, from which a delicate oil that brings to mind the smells and flavors of the Sicilian countryside. In this video Annalisa takes us to discover the olive trees in the Valley of the Temples by meeting the producer Dino Carlino of company Val Paradiso.
